About the role#
The IT Service Management Intern will support the delivery of reliable IT services for Louisiana Blue. You will assist with daily IT Service Management (ITSM) activities and gain hands-on experience with ITIL processes. This role focuses on monitoring service operations, maintaining documentation, and contributing to process improvements while ensuring compliance with company policies.
What you'll do#
- Assist with daily ITSM activities.
- Gain experience with ITIL processes including Incident, Change, Problem, Knowledge, and Service Asset & Configuration Management.
- Monitor and support service operations.
- Maintain documentation.
- Contribute to process improvements.
- Ensure work complies with company policies and regulations.
What you'll need#
- Current status as a junior or senior undergraduate, Master’s level student, or recent graduate.
- A degree in Computer Science, ISDS, Business Administration, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- A minimum cumulative 2.5 GPA, with a 3.0 or higher preferred.
- Knowledge in various IT disciplines such as application development, systems support, or networking.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to think analytically and present ideas professionally.
- A self-motivated and team-oriented mindset.
- A basic understanding of healthcare strategic and technology trends.
- Familiarity with ServiceNow or other ITSM solutions is a plus.
- Familiarity with collaboration, automation, or AI-enabled productivity tools is a plus.
