About the role#
This internship provides direct experience within a community bank. You will work with assigned departments to achieve business objectives while gaining a broad overview of bank operations. This is a paid, full-time position.
What you'll do#
- Support daily administrative operations, including managing calendars, reserving meeting rooms, and handling meeting logistics.
- Interact with visitors and clients.
- Use bank systems to run reports, analyze data, and generate graphs.
- Draft slide decks and communications for lenders and senior management.
- Assist with special projects across various departments.
- Become proficient in bank software to meet internal service standards.
- Maintain privacy and information security standards.
- Comply with bank policies, government regulations, and BSA, AML, and OFAC guidance.
What you'll need#
- A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related field.
- 1 to 2 years of prior related experience or training.
- Advanced skills in the Microsoft Office suite and general computer operations.
- Advanced math skills, including the ability to calculate interest, proportions, and percentages.
- Ability to read and interpret business periodicals and technical procedures.
- High level of organization, time management, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- A willingness to learn bank products and services.
