About the role#
We are hiring a Pharmacy Student to join our team in Ottawa. This is a part-time, on-site position. You will support pharmacy operations by managing automation workflows, maintaining inventory levels, and preparing medication orders for patients and nursing homes.
What you'll do#
- Generate automation reports and prepare prescriptions using Kroll software.
- Package medications into unit dose pouches using automation machinery.
- Perform machine maintenance and troubleshoot equipment issues.
- Manage workflow to meet daily targets and schedules.
- Maintain pharmacy inventory at pre-specified levels and place orders for supplies.
- Assist with inventory count preparations and vendor coordination.
- Action drug recalls and secure necessary alternatives.
- Prepare medication blister packs, mixtures, and labels for over-the-counter products.
- Investigate and troubleshoot orders to ensure timely shipment for nursing homes.
What you'll need#
- Post-secondary education.
- Previous pharmacy experience with Long Term Care.
- Familiarity with Kroll software.
- Strong attention to detail and a positive, hardworking attitude.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work well within a team.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to different departments.
- Capability to manoeuvre quickly and consistently for extended periods.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

- Location: 4270 Innes Rd, Ottawa, ON.
- Employment Type: Part-time.
- Pay Range: $20.90 - $28.60 per hour.
- Note: Candidates aged 18 or older must complete a criminal background check.
