About the role#
This position reports to the Pharmacy Manager and involves providing quality patient care through medication dispensing and professional services under the supervision of a pharmacist. You will support daily pharmacy operations and help ensure patients receive safe, accurate, and appropriate care.
What you'll do#
- Support pharmacy operations including greeting customers, prescription order entry, prescription filling, and non-sterile compounding.
- Manage cash register duties and book customer appointments for professional services.
- Resolve patient needs and doctor requests or issues in a timely and positive manner.
- Maintain adequate inventory levels for medications and over-the-counter supplements by ordering from wholesalers, receiving orders, and processing returns or recalls.
- Adhere to pharmacy standards of practice to ensure safe and accurate medication dispensing.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy degree program (4th year or equivalent) with no cautions or findings that limit your ability to practice.
- Superior customer relations skills and a strong sense of professionalism.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, including experience formulating and executing action plans.
- Proficiency with the MS Office Suite. Knowledge of the HealthWatch Pharmacy Computer system is an asset.
