Pharmacy Student

About the role#

This position reports to the Pharmacy Manager and focuses on providing quality patient care through medication dispensing and professional services under the supervision of a pharmacist. The role involves maintaining inventory levels, counseling patients, and ensuring safe, accurate, and appropriate dispensing of medications.

What you'll do#

• Support pharmacy operations, including greeting customers, prescription order entry, and prescription filling.
• Perform non-sterile compounding as required and manage cash register duties.
• Book customer appointments for professional services.
• Provide timely and positive resolution to patient needs and doctor requests or issues.
• Manage medication and over-the-counter supplement inventory, including ordering from wholesalers, receiving orders, and processing returns and recalls.
• Adhere to pharmacy standards of practice to ensure safe and accurate medication dispensing.

What you'll need#

• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy degree in progress (4th year or equivalent) with no cautions or findings limiting the ability to practice.
• Superior customer relations skills and a strong sense of professionalism.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to formulate and execute action plans.
• Proficiency with the MS Office Suite.
• Knowledge of the HealthWatch Pharmacy Computer system is considered an asset.
