About the role#
This position offers practical experience for future pharmacists within a community pharmacy setting. You will work in a locally owned store while gaining exposure to the daily operations of a retail pharmacy. The role focuses on real-world training to complement your academic studies and prepares you for future practice.
What you'll do#
- Greet all customers who approach the pharmacy.
- Manage customer confidentiality and consent to ensure all privacy requirements are met.
- Maintain a professional appearance so you are clearly identifiable to the public.
- Engage directly in community pharmacy practice.
- Improve your communication skills with patients, staff, and other health care workers.
- Gain knowledge regarding OTC products, disease state management, drug therapy, and patient counseling.
- Develop the skills required to manage a retail pharmacy environment.
