About the role#
Albertsons Companies is hiring a Pharmacy Student Intern to join our team in Southlake, Texas. This position is open to pharmacy students who want to build relationships with patients and gain practical experience in a retail pharmacy setting. You will work under the supervision of a registered pharmacist or preceptor to support patient care and pharmacy operations.
What you'll do#
- Perform tasks under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist or preceptor.
- Process prescriptions in compliance with all laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Provide consultation to customers and health care professionals regarding drug therapy, prescription knowledge, and health products.
- Participate in clinical services, including immunizations, vaccinations, MTM, and point of care testing.
- Implement company initiatives to support pharmacy profitability.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a full-time student in an accredited school of pharmacy.
- A valid state intern license if required by the state of employment.
- Ability to adapt to changes in work priorities and schedules as business needs dictate.
- Strong teamwork skills and the ability to cooperate with colleagues.
