About the role#
This internship offers a hands-on opportunity to work alongside experienced therapists in a clinical setting. You will gain exposure to multiple therapy disciplines and support patient care, helping you build practical skills for your future education in fields like physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech-language pathology, or medicine.
What you'll do#
- Assist therapists with session preparations, including setting up equipment and creating therapy materials.
- Support patients directly during treatment, such as assisting with mobility work, transfers, and guided activities.
- Help with specialized techniques like gait training and serial casting.
- Maintain therapy spaces to ensure they are clean, organized, and ready for the next patient.
- Score assessments, track outcomes, and create tools to support clinic operations.
- Manage equipment and supplies to keep the clinic running smoothly.
What you'll need#
- You must be a current post-secondary student, ideally a junior or senior, planning to advance your education in a healthcare-related field.
- A high school diploma or GED is required.
- We value reliability, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn.
- You should be a team player who is ready to contribute to a clinical environment.
