About the role#
This Therapy Intern position provides hands-on experience in a clinical setting. You will work alongside therapists to support patient care and clinic operations. This is a paid, part-time role with a rolling term. Hours are Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
What you'll do#
- Assist therapists with session preparation, including setting up equipment and creating therapy materials.
- Support patients directly during treatment through mobility work, transfers, and guided activities.
- Help with specialized techniques such as serial casting and gait training.
- Maintain clean and organized therapy spaces to ensure clinic flow.
- Score assessments and track patient outcomes.
- Manage equipment and supplies.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a post-secondary student in a healthcare-related field, such as physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech-language pathology, or medical school.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Reliable and detail-oriented approach to tasks.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
