About the role#
As a Radiology Extern at Valley View Medical Center, you will work in a part-time, per diem capacity. You will support our imaging team by assisting with diagnostic procedures and patient care tasks within the Fort Mohave facility.
What you'll do#
- Perform imaging procedures following established standards of practice.
- Review patient histories and physician orders.
- Explain procedures, equipment, and exams to patients to help them feel prepared.
- Assist staff with imaging exams across multiple modalities.
- Handle clerical duties and help with diagnostic exams.
- Prepare necessary equipment and supplies.
- Transport patients as needed.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a 2nd year student in a radiology program.
- A valid Radiation Operator license from the state board of radiology.
- Ability to obtain AART certification within twelve months of graduation.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
