About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience in a professional kitchen environment. You will work in an hourly role while participating in a structured program designed to build your culinary and management skills. The program runs from May 25 to August 4, 2027.
What you'll do#
- Perform the daily duties of your assigned hourly position.
- Participate in weekly educational seminars and complete management checklists.
- Work on a restaurant concept project and present it at the Intern Expo.
- Engage in group events, program activities, and summer festivals.
- Operate kitchen tools and equipment safely.
- Maintain a clean and safe workspace while following all sanitation guidelines.
- Work a flexible schedule that includes nights and weekends.
- Communicate clearly with your team to follow job requirements.
- Multitask in a busy kitchen environment.
- Provide a positive guest experience and handle guest challenges with good judgment.
- Work as a team player and follow all company policies.
What you'll need#
- At least 1 year of practical experience or current enrollment in a culinary program.
- Ability to stand for an entire shift and move safely through the kitchen.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Experience with Italian or French cuisine is a plus.
