About the role#
This culinary externship offers the opportunity to gain practical experience within a professional restaurant kitchen. Externs are placed in a restaurant concept and an hourly role that aligns with their current skill level. This is a paid position lasting between 10 and 16 weeks, with any potential extensions determined by the Chef and General Manager.
What you'll do#
- Perform the essential functions and responsibilities of your assigned hourly role, such as cook, server, runner, or busser.
- Safely and effectively operate all necessary kitchen tools and equipment.
- Communicate clearly to follow written and spoken directions.
- Multitask effectively in a busy and demanding environment.
- Work in confined spaces with variable noise, lighting, and temperature levels.
- Maintain the ability to sit or stand for an entire shift, navigate stairs and slick surfaces, and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Work a variety of shifts, including nights and weekends.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a culinary program or one full year of practical experience.
- Experience with French or Italian cuisine is considered a plus.

- Salary: $17.05 - $20.00 per hour.
- Term: Rolling, 10-16 weeks.
