About the role#
This R&D internship focuses on the technical side of yeast and ingredient applications within the baking industry. You will work on-site in Milwaukee during the summer of 2027. This is a full-time, paid position.
What you'll do#
- Develop and design ingredient prototypes for yeast-raised bakery applications.
- Evaluate existing products to identify new opportunities.
- Collaborate with scientists and bakers to test components in industrial settings.
- Partner with Quality and Regulatory groups to establish raw material specifications.
- Assist with various projects related to industrial bakery applications.
- Travel to customer facilities, other company locations, or trade shows as needed.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor’s degree in Bakery Science or Food Science.
- Ability to understand and apply Baker’s percent.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs.
- Ability to perform basic math including ratios, fractions, and decimals.
- Willingness to relocate to Milwaukee for the summer.
- Ability to travel up to 15% of the time.
