About the role#
As a Process Engineer Co-op, you will contribute to the operations of polyurethane sealants and coatings manufacturing. You will work with the process and quality engineering group to support safety, quality, maintenance, and production processes. This role provides an opportunity to use process tools such as Process Safety Management, Behavioral Risk Improvement, and Lean Six-Sigma methodologies including 5S, A3 Problem Solving, Statistical Process Control, and Value Stream Mapping.
What you'll do#
- Lead small projects focused on process or equipment improvement.
- Collect data to support process waste reduction efforts.
- Edit or create P&IDs.
- Collaborate with Process Engineers on Capital Expense Projects.
- Conduct meetings to communicate information or coordinate on projects.
- Serve as a back-up for Quality Lab Safety.
What you'll need#
- High School diploma.
- Current enrollment as a sophomore, junior, or senior in good academic standing.
- Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Engineering, with a preference for Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
