R&D Co-Op

About the role#

This R&D Co-Op position offers hands-on experience as a coatings chemist in training. You will work within a team-based environment focused on professional growth and skill development. The role involves cross-functional training across various product platforms, including metal and concrete coatings, as well as decorative and high-performance systems. You will interact with chemical suppliers, marketing brand managers, and manufacturing operations as you take on increasingly complex projects.

What you'll do#

• Create sample batches of paint for formula development.
• Conduct performance testing on lab samples and competitive products.
• Document data and interpret or report results.
• Assist with production support through the scale-up process and batch adjustments.

What you'll need#

• Current undergraduate student pursuing a degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a comparable scientific field.
• Knowledge of laboratory practices and safety standards.
• Background in coatings or chemical processes is preferred.

Location & details#

• Location: Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin, USA.
• Term: Fall 2026.
• Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm (40 hours per week).
• Compensation: $25.00 per hour.
• Work Modality: On-site.
