About the role#
The Technical Design Co-op program provides hands-on experience within a global, multi-channel retail environment. Participants work alongside experienced designers to develop Lands' End products across various categories, including women's, men's, kids', and accessories. This role focuses on professional development and provides exposure to the various business functions that support the design model.
What you'll do#
- Develop products by providing input on color, fabrication, and silhouettes.
- Conduct trend and competitor research to support design initiatives.
- Create and maintain design books and journals based on trend analysis.
- Support visual setups and presentations to convey the design vision.
- Participate in fittings and returns analysis.
- Create technical flats and inspiration boards.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree program for apparel design, graphic design, industrial design, architecture, art, media studies, or a related field.
- Understanding of textile construction, color application, and printing techniques.
- Basic skills in fit and pattern making.
- Passion for current fashion, emerging trends, and the Lands' End brand.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with diverse teams.
- Strong critical thinking and communication skills.
