About the role#
Purple is looking for a Merchandising Intern to learn how product decisions impact business performance. You will gain hands-on exposure to seasonal assortment planning, product analysis, and wholesale market preparation. This role is for students interested in the intersection of denim, contemporary fashion, and streetwear.
What you'll do#
- Support seasonal line planning for denim and ready-to-wear collections, including SKU, fit, and color analysis.
- Pull weekly sales and inventory reports to track performance by style, channel, and account.
- Assist with market appointments and line reviews by organizing selling tools for the sales team.
- Manage sample organization and seasonal line reviews.
- Maintain accurate product information across internal systems and support team presentations.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program with eligibility to receive academic credit.
- Availability to work on-site in New York City 3-4 days per week.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Coursework or prior experience in fashion, retail, or merchandising is a plus.

- Term: Fall 2026 semester, approximately September 2026 through January 2027.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: This is an unpaid internship for students receiving academic credit. A daily lunch stipend is provided for each day worked on-site.
