About the role#
Purple is seeking a Public Relations Intern to support our in-house team. This role provides an opportunity to gain experience in brand communications, influencer marketing, and product placement within the luxury and contemporary fashion industry. This is an unpaid internship intended for students receiving academic credit.
What you'll do#
- Assist with sample trafficking, including check-ins, check-outs, packaging, and inventory management.
- Support influencer and VIP gifting initiatives, including coordinating send-outs and tracking shipments.
- Monitor social media and digital platforms for brand mentions, influencer content, and press coverage.
- Research industry trends, media contacts, influencers, and VIP talent.
- Prepare weekly and monthly press reports and internal recaps.
- Maintain and update internal databases for stylists, influencers, and partners.
- Support showroom operations, including organizing samples and assisting with appointments and fittings.
- Assist with event logistics, brand activations, and presentations as needed.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program with eligibility for academic credit.
- Ability to work on-site 2-3 days per week.
- Commitment to the full Fall 2026 academic semester (September-December 2026).
- Strong organizational and detail-oriented skills.
- Demonstrated interest in fashion PR, influencer marketing, and media.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with Launchmetrics (Fashion GPS) is an asset.
- Majors in Marketing, Communications, Public Health, Business Administration, or Media Studies are preferred.

- Compensation: Unpaid, with a daily lunch stipend provided for each day worked on-site.
