About the role#
As a Maintenance Intern, you will perform preventative maintenance and repair work on production equipment and facility systems. You will work alongside the Land O'Lakes maintenance crew and management to learn the plant and develop your technical skills.
What you'll do#
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain plant processing equipment.
- Document work and parts into the JDE E1 system.
- Maintain accurate and neat maintenance logs.
- Follow safety protocols and use proper techniques for all tasks.
- Complete all required training for your position.
- Keep your work area, tools, and shop equipment clean.
- Communicate quality concerns or equipment issues to appropriate personnel.
What you'll need#
- You must be a current student seeking an associates degree or higher in maintenance, electrical, or a related field.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to analyze and solve problems.
- Interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with others.
- Physical ability to bend, twist, turn, push, pull, stoop, and climb.
- Ability to regularly lift or move up to 25 pounds, frequently move up to 55 pounds, and occasionally move up to 75 pounds.

- Location: Pine Island, Minnesota.
- This is a full-time, on-site, paid internship.
- The role follows a rolling term.
