About the role#
As a Mechanical Engineering Intern, you will support new product development and factory operations. You will work with mechanical designers on CAD models and part documentation, while assisting with the structural analysis of aircraft modifications. This role involves maintaining aircraft structures and mission equipment, as well as supporting the transition from design to manufacturing.
What you'll do#
- Translate product requirements into mechanical specifications and test plans.
- Execute verification testing to ensure designs meet customer requirements.
- Perform structural and thermal design analysis.
- Generate and process engineering change orders.
- Determine stress levels in aircraft structures and systems to predict performance.
- Coordinate the installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical systems.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s, Master's, or PhD program.
- Studies in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Engineering Mechanics, Materials Science Engineering, or a related field.

- This position is based on-site in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
- This is a full-time, paid internship with a rolling term.
