About the role#
L3Harris Technologies is looking for an intern to support its cybersecurity operations. You will gain hands-on experience by working with teams that monitor systems and respond to potential digital threats. This role provides exposure to the tools and processes used to protect sensitive information and maintain business integrity.
What you'll do#
- Monitor the network environment for suspicious or malicious activity.
- Document security events and incidents in the internal ticketing system.
- Analyze reports regarding cyber threat intelligence.
- Investigate suspicious email submissions.
- Assist in the implementation, operation, and maintenance of cybersecurity tools.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Exposure to cybersecurity tools such as SIEM, Intrusion Detection Systems, Network Security Monitoring, or SOAR.
- Familiarity with REST APIs and microservices.
- Knowledge of CI/CD concepts, Git, Docker, and cloud providers is a plus.
Location & details#
- Location: Melbourne, FL.
- This is an on-site, full-time, paid internship.
- The schedule follows a 9/80 format, meaning you work 80 hours over 9 days and have every other Friday off.
