About the role#
As a Manufacturing Engineering Intern, you will support tool management and process improvement projects within our production operations. You will work on routine assignments and assist with smaller, less complex projects while coordinating with production supervision.
What you'll do#
- Manage and track mechanical and electrical manufacturing tools.
- Monitor the broken tool dashboard and Gemba request SharePoint list.
- Create, update, and maintain records in our tool management software.
- Coordinate with production teams to keep tool data accurate.
- Support production layout enhancements and capital equipment implementation.
- Identify ways to streamline manufacturing processes to reduce costs and improve schedule performance.
- Recommend practical process improvements for review.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a bachelor degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related field.
- Experience with electrical or mechanical manufacturing.
- Experience with database record creation and management.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
Location & details#
- This position is located in Greenville, Texas.
- This is an on-site, full-time, paid internship.
- The work schedule follows a 9/80 format, meaning you will work 80 hours over 9 days and have every other Friday off.
