About the role#
This internship offers hands-on experience in project coordination within the electrical distribution, lighting, and gear industries. You will work alongside specialists and project coordinators to develop customer-focused solutions. This role provides exposure to project development, design processes, and industry events, helping you build skills for a future career in engineering, project management, or related technical fields.
What you'll do#
- Participate in an Electrical Distribution Orientation to learn about organizational functions and vendor relationships.
- Job shadow team members across multiple departments.
- Support the Lighting and Gear teams.
- Travel with specialists to customer sites and project locations to gain field experience.
- Attend commercial events, technical training sessions, and trade shows.
- Assist with event setup and support tasks.
- Contribute to the design process by interpreting customer needs.
- Develop practical lighting and gear solutions.
- Perform assigned project tasks and administrative duties.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams.
What you'll need#
- High school diploma or GED.
- Currently enrolled as a sophomore or junior in college.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to organize work, manage priorities, and accept feedback.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
