About the role#
As a Software Engineering Intern, you will apply computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis concepts to develop software. You will work with cross-functional teams to build and evaluate interfaces between hardware and software, supporting the full software development life cycle.
What you'll do#
- Participate in all phases of the software development life cycle, including requirements analysis, design, implementation, integration, and testing of embedded software.
- Develop software test procedures, programs, and documentation.
- Use modeling tools to establish operating data, conduct tests, and evaluate results.
- Take part in peer reviews to identify, track, and fix defects.
- Work on real-time control software for tactical radio equipment.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field at an accredited university.
- Ability to work with various software languages across different platforms.
- Experience or coursework in one or more of the following: C++, C#, C, Java, Ruby, JEE, HTML5, XML, SQL, or Qt.
Location & details#
- Location: Melbourne, Florida.
- Schedule: 4/10 work week, consisting of 10-hour days, 4 days a week.
- This is a paid, on-site internship.
