About the role#
As a Project Engineer Intern, you will handle the daily tactical tasks for assigned programs. You act as the primary contact between project management, planning teams, and engineering staff. This role involves coordinating the cost, schedule, and technical requirements of projects while ensuring they meet program guidelines.
What you'll do#
- Manage and track project schedules and budgets.
- Prepare regular status reports for ongoing engineering projects.
- Create systems to monitor project progress.
- Identify project issues and develop resolutions to meet quality and productivity goals.
- Coordinate between resource managers and supervisors to obtain necessary reviews and approvals.
- Analyze project performance to support future missions and programs.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Industrial, or Aerospace Engineering.
- Ability to oversee project aspects and coordinate across teams.
- Experience managing schedules and preparing status reports.
- Skills in problem-solving and intervention with project managers.
Location & details#
- This position is based in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
- This is an on-site, full-time role.
- The schedule follows a 9/80 format, meaning you work 80 hours over 9 days and have every other Friday off.
- This is a paid internship.
