About the role#
This internship position involves working with integration and test engineering teams. You will work on-site in Herndon, Virginia. The schedule follows a 9/80 format, where you work 80 hours over 9 days and have every other Friday off.
What you'll do#
- Set up, configure, and document hardware and software systems under test, including loading software onto devices.
- Design and implement procedures to test and troubleshoot components, sub-assemblies, and systems.
- Create test plans, procedures, reports, and test cases while maintaining requirements traceability.
- Document testing issues, analyze results, and support formal systems acceptance testing.
- Present test strategies and results to internal and external customers.
- Participate in failure investigation activities and review board meetings.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD program in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Knowledge of communications systems and software programming languages.
- Experience with automated software testing frameworks and requirements analysis.
- Familiarity with networks, network security, power systems, antennas, RF, or mechanical design is helpful.
