About the role#
The Investigations Diligence & Compliance team works with clients to address complex governance, risk, and transparency challenges. As an intern, you will gain hands-on experience in investigative processes, with a specific focus on open-source intelligence and social media analysis. You will support the team in mitigating risks related to fraud and corruption while working on projects for global clients.
What you'll do#
- Research subjects using public records, media sources, proprietary databases, and the internet in English or Spanish.
- Review digital footprints and social media content using OSINT techniques.
- Analyze research findings and synthesize them into well-structured, objective reports.
- Conduct social media analysis within established risk frameworks.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program at an accredited US college or university.
- Expected graduation date between May 2027 and May 2029.
- A major GPA of at least 3.7.
- Native or equivalent proficiency in English.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet strict deadlines.
- Interest in current events, international affairs, and culture.
- Capacity to accept and apply constructive feedback.
- Preferred majors include English, History, Psychology, Economics, Political Science, International Relations, Sociology, Philosophy, Mathematics, Physics, and Anthropology.
- Proficiency in Spanish or additional languages is highly desired.
- Previous research experience or familiarity with risk assessment and emerging social media platforms is a plus.
Location & details#
- Location: Boston, Massachusetts.
- Term: Fall 2026 through December 2026, with potential for extension into the Spring 2027 semester.
- Schedule: Approximately 15 to 20 hours per week.
- Modality: This position offers remote, on-site, or hybrid work options.
- Compensation: This is a paid internship with a salary range of $22 to $25 per hour.
