About the role#
As an intern in the Expert Services practice, you will work with experienced professionals on forensic accounting, investigative, valuation, and dispute consulting engagements. You will receive guidance and feedback from your team while gaining exposure to real-world business and legal matters. This is a paid, full-time, on-site internship.
What you'll do#
- Support engagement teams by preparing forensic accounting analyses, financial models, and business valuations.
- Research and analyze accounting, financial, and business information to help evaluate key issues in disputes and investigations.
- Assist with the development and evaluation of damages claims and other financial calculations.
- Organize, reconcile, and analyze financial records and large data sets to identify trends and inconsistencies.
- Gather information from client materials, research sources, team discussions, and site visits.
- Contribute to workpapers, expert reports, proposals, and presentations.
- Review analyses and supporting materials for accuracy, consistency, and adherence to quality standards.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor or Master degree program in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting or Finance.
- An expected graduation date between December 2027 and August 2028.
- A preferred cumulative GPA of 3.5 or above.
- A foundational understanding of accounting principles and financial-statement analysis.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail, sound organizational skills, and the ability to manage deadlines.
- A collaborative and proactive approach to team-based client service.
