About the role#
As an intern in the Expert Services practice, you will work alongside experienced professionals on forensic accounting, investigative, valuation, and dispute consulting engagements. You will receive guidance and feedback from your team while gaining exposure to complex, real-world business and legal matters.
What you'll do#
- Support engagement teams in preparing forensic accounting analyses, financial models, and business valuations.
- Research and analyze accounting, financial, and business information to help evaluate key issues in disputes and investigations.
- Assist with the development and evaluation of damages claims and other financial calculations.
- Organize, reconcile, and analyze financial records and large data sets to identify trends and inconsistencies.
- Gather information from client materials, research sources, team discussions, and supervised site visits.
- Contribute to workpapers, expert reports, proposals, and presentations.
- Review analyses and reports for accuracy, consistency, and adherence to quality standards.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
- Expected graduation date between December 2027 and August 2028.
- Preferred cumulative GPA of 3.5 or above.
- Foundational understanding of accounting principles and financial-statement analysis.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong written and verbal communication, analytical, and critical-thinking skills.
- Careful attention to detail and the ability to manage deadlines.
- A collaborative and proactive approach to team-based client service.
