About the role#
Kovalus Separation Solutions is hiring an Automation Intern to work at our Willmar, Minnesota facility. This is a full-time, paid, rolling internship. You will gain hands-on experience in manufacturing processes and automation systems while working alongside our engineering team.
What you'll do#
- Read and interpret electrical drawings to support project requirements.
- Review PID drawings to identify specific devices that require controls.
- Build panels according to electrical drawing specifications.
- Set up and verify field instruments, VFDs, PLC IO, and HMI clients.
- Develop and document internal software for end users.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area while following safety procedures.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a college or university program for an automation-related curriculum, such as Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.
- Practical knowledge of power tools.
- Attention to detail and the ability to work well within a team.
Location & details#
- Location: Willmar, Minnesota.
- Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, averaging 45 hours per week.
