About the role#
This is a paid cooperative education position within the Operations Planning team at Seminole Electric Cooperative. You will work with the System Operations Division to support technical studies, data analysis, and compliance initiatives. This role offers exposure to Control Center Operations and Resource Planning groups. We prefer candidates who can commit to at least two semesters before graduation.
What you'll do#
- Support operations planning studies, reporting, and data collection.
- Assist with NERC standard compliance, including evidence collection and documentation.
- Prepare and update system documentation, such as transmission drawings and equipment data.
- Draft corporate procedures and technical documents.
- Develop and maintain tools and templates for the System Operations department.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor of Science program for Electrical Engineering at an ABET accredited institution.
- Junior class standing with at least one semester of specialization core classes finished.
- A minimum 2.75 GPA.
- Ability to work approximately 20 hours per week while maintaining at least six credit hours per semester.
- Familiarity with power system principles and technical writing.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic programming languages.
