About the role#
This is a hands-on internship based in Grain Valley, Missouri. You will work directly on the shop floor to support daily manufacturing operations. The role provides practical experience in manufacturing engineering while allowing you to manage a continuous improvement project from start to finish.
What you'll do#
- Support daily shop floor tactical needs including Gemba walks, 5S tasks, and quality issue resolution.
- Create and update operator work instructions.
- Conduct time studies and evaluate work order efficiency.
- Assist with tool selection, calibration, and maintenance.
- Analyze and refine current manufacturing processes.
- Lead at least one independent continuous improvement project from concept to completion.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a student in Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering.
- Ability to work on-site in Grain Valley, MO.
