About the role#
We are looking for a Mechanical Engineering intern to join our team in Westminster, Maryland. This is a full-time, on-site role. You will work on projects related to braking systems and equipment for mass transit vehicles.
What you'll do#
- Support the design of mechanical components.
- Create 3D CAD drafts for products and parts.
- Assist with testing new products against established requirements.
- Analyze tolerances, statics, dynamics, heat transfer, and stress or strain.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Mechanical Engineering or related degree program, entering your junior year or higher.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Familiarity with 3D CAD software, specifically NX or Creo.
- Basic knowledge of machine design and materials.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Hands-on experience and problem-solving skills.
Location & details#
- This position is based on-site in Westminster, Maryland.
- The role is paid, with an anticipated wage range of $16.00 to $23.00 per hour depending on your class year.
- This is a full-time, rolling internship.
