About the role#
This is a 16-month co-op position supporting project development and execution engineers. You will help deliver capital enhancement and sustaining projects for liquid pipelines and facilities. The role involves a mix of office work and field visits to locations in Saskatchewan, Manitoba, and Northern Alberta.
What you'll do#
- Research and summarize codes, standards, and regulations.
- Prepare scopes, designs, justifications, estimates, and economic analysis for project feasibility.
- Create specifications and coordinate with supply chain management to procure materials and services.
- Develop procedures for safe work execution and review quality control packages after construction.
- Maintain project schedules, cost control, and earned value management.
- Conduct field visits for site inspections, project scoping, and commissioning support.
- Lead specific project tasks under the direction of a project manager.
- Coordinate efforts between internal departments, external consultants, and contractors to meet budget and schedule goals.
- Update and revise project management templates.
- Ensure all work follows HSE policies, engineering standards, and regulatory requirements.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an Engineering program at a qualified institution.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and computer skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with office staff, field staff, and external stakeholders.
Location & details#
- Location: Calgary, Alberta.
- Work Modality: Hybrid. You will work from the office Tuesday through Thursday and remotely on Mondays and Fridays.
