About the role#
This is a 16-month co-op opportunity. You will work with engineers responsible for the design and project management of capital, expense, and ARO projects. Your work focuses on the upgrade, maintenance, and retirement of liquid pipelines and facilities. You will support the Operations Engineering team through the full lifecycle of these projects.
What you'll do#
- Prepare project scopes, designs, justifications, cost estimates, and economic analyses.
- Draft regulatory applications and notifications.
- Create detailed designs, specifications, and drawing packages.
- Develop procedures for the safe execution of field work.
- Work with supply chain management to procure materials and services.
- Conduct field visits for construction inspections, project scoping, and commissioning.
- Monitor project schedules, track costs, and update forecasts.
- Review quality control packages for accuracy after construction.
- Research and summarize codes, standards, and regulations.
- Provide technical support on operational and engineering issues.
- Coordinate internal departments, consultants, and contractors to meet project objectives.
- Plan work in accordance with HSE policies and engineering standards.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an Engineering program at a qualified institution.
- Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work with both office and field stakeholders.
- A valid Class 5 driver license and an acceptable driver abstract is an asset.
