About the role#
As an Operations Intern, you will work under close supervision to assist with transportation and logistics services. This role offers exposure to the fundamental principles of transportation management and provides an opportunity to see how daily operations function within the industry.
What you'll do#
- Assist with daily operational tasks including freight planning and asset utilization.
- Support core functions like safety management, DOT compliance, and driver payroll.
- Participate in logistics analysis, maintenance coordination, and driver supervision.
- Engage in profit-and-loss management and Customer Value Delivery.
- Learn about industry trends and company initiatives regarding driver retention.
- Complete account-specific duties and other assigned tasks as needed.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in good standing.
- Availability to work 20-25 hours per week during the school semester.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Ability to adapt to shifting priorities and directives.
- Willingness to work flexible hours.
- Junior or Senior status is preferred.
