About the role#
ARC Resources Ltd. is seeking an Information Management Summer Student to join our team in Calgary. This 4-month role provides exposure to data governance, analytics, and business process improvement within the energy industry. You will report to the Supervisor of Information Management and work on projects focused on data quality, accessibility, and effective information use.
What you'll do#
- Support team initiatives related to data analytics, information management, and continuous improvement.
- Assist with data cleanup, organization, and stewardship projects.
- Develop and refine metrics, dashboards, and KPIs to support business insights.
- Maintain team documentation, processes, and reporting requirements.
- Help with data governance by following standards and best practices.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand business needs and project objectives.
- Provide operational and administrative support for daily team activities.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in the second or third year of a Bachelor's program in Computer Science or Business Technology Management, or a Master's program in Library and Information Studies or a related field.
- You must be returning to your studies in the following term.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret data and identify trends.
- A detail-oriented mindset to ensure accuracy in reporting and documentation.
- Strong communication skills.
- Familiarity with tools such as Power BI, Excel, or SharePoint.
- Experience querying databases, data warehouses, or data lakes using SQL.

- Term: Summer 2027 (4 months, beginning in May).
