About the role#
The Advanced Software Engineering internship is for students currently pursuing a degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science. You will join one of our product teams to assist in the development and enhancement of software applications. This role provides experience across the software development lifecycle while you develop skills with various tools and programming languages.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with full-time Software Engineers to build and improve cloud-based, Java or Go database-driven software.
- Implement software design concepts on projects currently in production.
- Estimate work efforts for your assigned tasks and meet those requirements.
- Communicate with internal team members and external clients.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a four-year institution.
- Experience writing Java, Go, or other object-oriented languages.
- A major GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A portfolio of previous work or projects.
- Experience with web UI technologies like Angular, Vue, React, or Bootstrap is a plus.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid internship.
- Work is on-site at our offices in Ames, Iowa or Clear Lake, Iowa.
- The term is rolling.
