About the role#
Kimley-Horn is hiring an engineering student for our Broomfield, Colorado office. This is a paid, full-time, on-site internship. You will work alongside our team to support civil engineering projects and gain hands-on experience in the field.
What you'll do#
- Use technical software to analyze data and produce project deliverables.
- Contribute to pre-construction design, planning, and permitting tasks.
- Assist project managers in solving complex technical problems.
- Collaborate with team members across different disciplines.
- Learn federal, state, and local regulations along with internal project standards.
- Gain experience with software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, Excel, Microstation, VISSIM, Open Roads, Synchro, or GIS.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a Bachelor or Master degree from an ABET accredited program.
- Eligible majors include Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, Biological, Biosystems, Chemical, or Agricultural Engineering.
- You have basic familiarity with technical engineering software.
- You can contribute to design and analysis tasks.
- You have an interest in learning relevant engineering regulations.

- This role is based in Broomfield, Colorado.
- This is an on-site position.
- The pay range for this role is $27 to $31 per hour.
