About the role#
This internship provides a hands-on introduction to construction management. You will gain experience in operational finance and field-based engineering tasks. This is a full-time, paid position for Summer 2027.
What you'll do#
- Manage field engineering, project scheduling, and cost control.
- Track quantities and maintain records for job progress, costs, and material usage.
- Plan job segments and investigate technical problems or incidents.
- Review project plans and specifications to determine material requirements.
- Coordinate with suppliers to manage material procurement and delivery.
- Supervise field activities and assist with estimating.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field.
- Ability to work full-time from May through August.
- Willingness to travel or relocate as needed.
- Ability to access all areas of a construction site in various climates and environments.
- Strong organization, time management, and attention to detail.
- Commitment to safety, ethics, and integrity.
- Ability to work both as a team player and independently to meet deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
