About the role#
The Finance Intern supports our team with financial data analysis, reporting, and core accounting tasks. You will gain hands-on experience in construction and corporate finance by working directly with experienced professionals on budgeting, forecasting, and financial controls.
What you'll do#
- Assist with financial reporting, variance analysis, and monthly close activities.
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes at both the project and corporate levels.
- Analyze project costs, revenue, and financial performance metrics.
- Help with data collection, validation, and reconciliation across financial systems.
- Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities.
- Prepare summaries and presentations for finance and leadership teams.
- Assist with financial modeling, trend analysis, and ad hoc financial tasks.
- Maintain organized financial documentation to ensure data accuracy and confidentiality.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with a focus on detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
- Strong organization, time management, and problem-solving skills.
- High level of professionalism and discretion when handling sensitive financial data.
- Familiarity with financial systems or Power BI is a plus.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid internship located on-site in Centennial, Colorado.
- The position operates on a rolling term basis.
- You will work primarily in an office environment, though the role may include exposure to job sites.
- Physical requirements include the ability to stand, walk, climb stairs or ladders, and lift up to 25 pounds when necessary.
