About the role#
As a Production Supervision Student, you will work alongside supervisors and production teams to gain firsthand experience in managing manufacturing operations. You will support daily activities, track performance indicators, and contribute to continuous improvement projects. This role provides a practical look at the realities of team management and operational oversight within a production environment.
What you'll do#
- Support supervisors in coordinating daily production activities and monitoring schedules.
- Track production indicators to identify variances and improvement opportunities.
- Participate in projects focused on safety, quality, efficiency, and waste reduction.
- Collaborate with production staff and cross-functional teams, including quality and engineering.
- Update procedures, work tools, and training materials.
- Analyze operational issues and propose solutions with team guidance.
- Maintain a safe, clean work environment that complies with Good Manufacturing Practices.
- Report any issues affecting product safety or quality to your supervisor.
- Prepare and update reports related to production activities.
What you'll need#
- Bachelor’s degree in progress or completed in engineering, operations, business administration, or a similar field.
- Full-time availability (40 hours per week) from January to April 2027.
- Bilingual proficiency in French and English (written and spoken).
- Legal authorization to work in Canada.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and a focus on team member support.
- Analytical abilities with a capacity for problem-solving.
- Strong communication, organizational, and prioritization skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with attention to detail.
- Skills in building constructive relationships through diplomacy and fair treatment.
Location & details#
- Location: 8300 19th Avenue, Montreal, QC.
- Term: Winter 2027 (January to April).
- Compensation: $33.40 per hour.
- Shift availability: Candidates must be flexible to work across various shifts, including day, evening, and weekend rotations.
