About the role#
This Co-Op position supports upstream biologics process development at Keros Therapeutics. You will work on-site in Lexington, Massachusetts, to assist with experiments and equipment maintenance. This is a paid, full-time role.
What you'll do#
- Prepare media and feeds for experimental use.
- Execute experiments involving CHO mammalian cell cultures in shaker flasks, WAVE bioreactors, and benchtop bioreactors.
- Perform daily maintenance on upstream equipment to ensure functionality.
- Manage and analyze experimental data, including cell counts, titers, gas, and metabolite levels.
- Conduct scale-down modeling and range finding to support process development and technology transfers.
- Run depth filtration filter loading studies to develop strategies for cell culture harvest.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor of Science program for Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Biology, Biomedical Sciences, or a related field.
- Familiarity with aseptic technique methods and experiment design.
- Proficiency in technical and scientific writing and presentation skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Understanding of basic engineering and biology concepts.
- Experience with mammalian cell culture and media or buffer preparation is preferred.

- Compensation: $28 to $32 per hour.
