About the role#
This is a 6-month co-op position within our preclinical research group. You will focus on rare cardiopulmonary diseases and gain experience in both in vivo and ex vivo research methods. You will work with rodents and perform laboratory analysis to support our drug development efforts.
What you'll do#
- Support in vivo studies, including animal handling, dosing (IP/IV/SC/PO), bleeding, necropsy, tissue collection, and wet lab sample processing.
- Perform molecular biology techniques such as RNA isolation, qPCR, Western Blot, ELISA, and flow cytometry.
- Maintain accurate records of experimental details and summarize data for study reports.
- Provide project updates during weekly team meetings.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree program for physiology, biology, biochemistry, or a related major.
- Understanding of physiology, biology, biochemistry, and molecular biology.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Willingness to work with rodents.
