About the role#
This is a full-time, for-credit internship for the Fall 2026 term. You will work on-site at the Genesis Biotechnology Group office in Hamilton Township, New Jersey, where you will contribute to a multi-disciplinary team focused on organic synthesis for research projects. Your work will support hit to lead efforts, lead optimization against novel drug targets, and the synthesis of compound libraries for research collections or partner collaborations.
What you'll do#
- Perform organic synthesis for ongoing research projects.
- Assist with library synthesis of compounds for research collections.
- Collaborate on projects with partner companies.
- Work both independently and as part of a team.
- Report to the Department Director or other assigned supervisors.
- Complete additional duties as required.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited college, pursuing a major in Biology, Chemistry, or a related science field.
- Ability to receive academic credit for this internship.
- Hands-on experience in multi-step organic synthesis, purification, and structural characterization.
- Proficiency in modern chromatographic techniques, including flash chromatography, preparative scale HPLC, and LCMS.
- Experience with parallel synthesis or solid phase chemistry.
