About the role#
JRM Construction Management offers a 10-week paid internship program during the summer of 2027. This role provides hands-on experience in the construction industry by working alongside professionals in both field and office settings. Interns focus on project areas including corporate interiors, education, hospitality, and retail. You will support teams on active projects and gain practical insight to prepare for a career in construction.
What you'll do#
- Assist with daily logs, site reports, progress photos, and project documentation.
- Help manage RFIs, submittals, and information distribution.
- Support inspections, punch lists, and quality documentation.
- Perform quantity takeoffs, pricing analyses, and cost estimates for labor, materials, and equipment.
- Maintain subcontractor lists, supplier information, and estimating databases.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, and internal teams during the estimating process.
- Support bid preparation, tender documentation, and value engineering reviews.
- Assist Project Engineers, Project Managers, and Superintendents with daily tasks.
- Attend project meetings to document key discussions and action items.
- Track material deliveries and maintain project records.
What you'll need#
- You are a rising junior or senior pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Engineering/Management, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Statistics, or a related field.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- A demonstrated interest in construction management and a willingness to learn.
- Previous exposure to construction projects through work experience, internships, or trade-based roles.
Location & details#
- This internship is located in Boca Raton, Florida.
- This is a full-time, on-site position requiring attendance five days per week.
- The pay rate for this position is $22.00 per hour.
