About the role#
JRM Construction Management offers a 10-week summer internship program designed to provide students with hands-on experience in the construction industry. You will work alongside experienced professionals in both field and office settings to gain practical insight into project execution. This is a full-time, paid position based on-site.
What you'll do#
Your internship will involve rotating through three core areas of our operations:
- Field Operations: You will oversee daily site activities to ensure projects meet quality and schedule standards. This includes supporting trade coordination, maintaining site logs and progress documentation, and assisting with safety program implementation and inspections.
- Estimating: You will help calculate costs for labor, materials, and time. Tasks include performing quantity takeoffs, maintaining estimating databases, and coordinating with internal teams, architects, and subcontractors during the bid preparation process.
- Project Management: You will support Project Engineers, Managers, and Superintendents. Responsibilities include tracking material deliveries, managing project documentation and submittals, and attending project meetings to document key discussions.
What you'll need#
- You must be a rising junior or senior pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Engineering/Management, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Statistics, or a related field.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- A demonstrated interest in construction management and a willingness to learn.
- Previous exposure to construction projects through work experience, internships, or trade-based roles is preferred.

- This position is located in Boca Raton, Florida.
- The role is fully on-site, five days per week.
- The program runs during the summer of 2027.
