About the role#
Jovie is hiring tutors to support 6th-10th grade students during the 2026/27 school year. You will work 5-10 hours per week, helping students develop their academic skills while serving as a mentor. This is a remote role with flexible scheduling options between 3pm and 9pm on weekdays, or 9am to 9pm on weekends.
What you'll do#
- Assist students with math, reading, writing, and general homework assignments.
- Review grades and school portals to help students stay organized and on track.
- Act as a role model to encourage academic success.
What you'll need#
- Ability to tutor middle school and early high school subjects including algebra, geometry, science, and history.
- A minimum GPA of 3.5.
- Strong study habits and organizational skills.
- Experience working in a virtual environment with a professional background.
- Previous tutoring experience is helpful but not required.
Location & details#
- This position is fully remote.
- We are hiring for candidates based in Minnesota, Texas, and Washington.
- The role begins in late August or early September and runs through the school year.
