About the role#
Jovie is looking for tutors to support students in grades K-7 for the 2026/27 school year. This role focuses on math and reading support while providing mentorship to students. You will build your teaching skills through consistent interaction with students in a remote setting.
What you'll do#
- Tutor students in math and reading.
- Create customized lesson plans and activities.
- Act as a mentor and role model for your students.
- Manage your own schedule, working 5 to 10 hours per week.
What you'll need#
- Previous experience in tutoring, teaching, or a practicum.
- A GPA of 3.5 or higher.
- Current enrollment in an elementary education degree program or a valid teaching license.
- Ability to work effectively in a virtual environment.
- Strong communication skills.
- Majors considered include Psychology, Sociology, History, English, Nursing, Public Health, Health Administration, and Pharmaceutical Sciences.
Location & details#
- This position is fully remote.
- Available to students based in Minnesota, Texas, and Washington.
- Compensation is $22 to $23 per hour based on experience.
- Sessions take place via Zoom between 3pm and 9pm Monday through Thursday, or 9am to 7pm on weekends.
