About the role#
The Wound Closure & Healing R&D team in Raritan, New Jersey, is looking for a Summer 2027 intern to support the development of medical products. This role is part of the MedTech Surgery organization, which focuses on technologies like sutures, surgical staplers, and energy devices used in open and minimally-invasive procedures.
What you'll do#
- Perform hands-on laboratory work in engineering labs.
- Develop engineering studies and build fixtures.
- Create models and drawings using SolidWorks.
- Fabricate prototypes and evaluate them during surgeon Voice-of-Customer events.
- Collaborate with engineers and outside suppliers on project tasks.
- Write test protocols, generate final reports, and document meeting minutes.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Biomedical, or Chemical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Must have completed at least your freshman year.
- A GPA of 3.2 or higher is strongly preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work 40 hours per week.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without the need for current or future visa sponsorship.

- This is a full-time, paid internship located on-site in Raritan, New Jersey.
- The program runs during the summer of 2027.
