About the role#
This internship offers experience with personal lines claim tasks. You will work within a team that manages 100 million dollars in annual jewelry insurance claims. The program focuses on professional development and provides exposure to the insurance industry.
What you'll do#
- Assist licensed claim examiners with daily claim handling.
- Analyze insurance policy language and interpret claim reports, including trend analysis.
- Review documentation from jewelers, field adjusters, and attorneys.
- Investigate and provide input on potential fraudulent claims.
- Help expedite claim payments while maintaining accuracy.
- Evaluate the performance of claim vendors.
- Learn the basics of jewelry, diamonds, and watches.
- Provide input on claim processes and controls.
- Support quality and fraud initiatives across the department.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Business, Risk Management, Insurance, or a related field.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

- This is a full-time, on-site, paid internship.
